Jon Jones: 'Blachowicz, build your own legacy without talking s**t about me'
Jon Jones, who is yet to pick his next opponent, was obviously not too happy to hear what another UFC star, Jan Blachowicz, thinks about him.
“Now I am the king of 205, but he can come back to 205,” Blachowicz told RT Sport. “I can meet him at 205 or at heavyweight, I don’t care. I think he will stay at heavyweight, but if he changes his mind, I’m waiting for him. No problem.
“I understand him. He (did) almost everything at 205. Almost everything because he did not fight against me, that’s why he did almost everything. I think he knew if he was gonna fight against me, he was gonna lose this fight. So he did this decision, ‘Now I go to heavyweight'.”
Moreover, Blachowicz (28-8, UFC 11-5) doesn't mind facing Francis Ngannou in the octagon.
"If UFC sends me 'You want to fight against Francis?', why not? If they want to make a fight like this, I would accept it, no problem. He's got power like Predator. He has great power but nobody has power like legendary Polish power," the Polish athlete said.
Blachowiz's words didn't go well with Jon Jones, who addressed the 38-year-old on Twitter.
"Hey Jan, how about you build your own legacy without talking shit about me. Go out, win 10 world titles and then parade yourself as some unbelievable fighter. Someone I ran away from. just another option for you," Jones wrote.
