AS: Icardi will not renew with Inter as he eyes joining CL contender
Mauro Icardi has been linked with the Inter Milan exit in January but eventually stayed at San Siro for the remainder, at least. Real Madrid were among the potential suitors for the 26-year-old striker who was recently stripped of the Inter captaincy after a stand-off with the Nerazzurri' representatives over his future.
Yet, Icardi's departure is just a matter of time, as per AS who report the Argentinean will desperately seek a summer switch to a club of Madrid's caliber.
Other potential destinations for the benched captain are Juventus, Napoli, who are ready to hand the player a huge wage bill and Man United, who allegedly plan a swap deal involving Belgium center-forward Romelu Lukaku.
The Argentine was allowed to back to training with the first team last week but according to MARCA, Inter Milan are ready to part ways with Icardi for €50 million in the summer.
