"Mentally I am very fresh": Arsene Wenger celebrates 21 years as Arsenal manager today
"Recent performances? It feels like a different team. You see the way we play football. You need a united group to do that.I put it down to the fact that we realised what we produced was not good enough. We stayed united and responded on the pitch.
"Mentally I am very fresh. I love football and the way we want to play football so I am always motivated by that.
“What is important is that we are strong at home, and the win over West Brom was our third straight league win at the Emirates. We know we can make results away from home too and we’ll do that, but it was important for us to win on Monday because everybody else won the weekend before, which put us under pressure not to drop points.
“Jack Wilshere had an outstanding first half and he fought until the end. I think he’s on a good way back to his best, and he showed that against BATE. Jack’s at an age where a player normally gets to the best of his career. He is on the way up and he has only been stopped by a series of injuries. Hopefully, I just pray that he is not hampered anymore by any problems and then we will see him getting stronger and stronger.“
