Atletico Madrid employee gives update on Antoine Griezmann's future
Jose Luis Perez Caminero, the coordinator of professional football at Atletico Madrid, insists the club's main priority is to keep the Frenchman.
"The club are doing everything possible for Griezmann to stay and to feel valued."
"Right now, we're only thinking about football. The decisions don't always depend on the club. What we want is to win the [Europa League] cup so that the fans are happy."
Even though Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has repeatedly claimed that Griezmann is going nowhere, there is a huge possibility that the Frenchman will end up at Barcelona. The Catalans are ready to pay extra money apart from his 100 million release clause.
Moreover, Cope journalists reported on Monday that the deal was already agreed on in October.
