Real Madrid still want Thibaut Courtois even if they sign Kepa Arrizabalaga
Reports in Spain have it that the Los Blancos have agreed a deal in principle to sign Kepa next year but are still considering the deal to land Courtois. The Belgian goalkeeper is yet to agree a new deal with Chelsea, after with less than two years remaining on his current deal at Stamford Bridge.
The Chelsea top hierarchy are keen to tie the Belgian down to a new contract to keep him off Real and other top European clubs' radar but with nothing firmed up yet in the deal, the Blues are finding it tough to keep them off.
Real have also been linked with Manchester United's David de Gea but chose to go for Kepa since a deal for the 23-year old seems much easier. Kepa is now the second choice goalkeeper at the Spanish national team and is become one of the most sought after in the country.
His arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu will signal the end of Courtois' link with Real.
