Kenedy key man behind Newcastle United revival
Rafa Benitez has been showing Antonio Conte, or at least the board, what a player remains on Chelsea books
Newcastle have been on the rise since Christman as they have even managed more points than Chelsea over this period and ironically, it's the Chelsea man that helps them.
Kenedy's goals and assists have been the highlights and show his attacking side which is a contrast to the left full-back position that was thrown to him at Chelsea in those rare moments he played. He has scored twice and made two assists in eight appearances so far.
Benitez has talked of his on-loan player: "He's not scared on the ball. Sometimes, you are in a rush or under pressure or the excitement doesn't allow you to think clearly, but with him, you know you have that."
The 22-year-old has introduced drive to the Newcastle squad with his marauding runs from the left from where he constantly poses a threat with his shots.
Yet there's something else. In the recent victory against Huddersfield, he covered the most ground (11.2km) and made the most sprints (79) of any Newcastle player.
That's perhaps not surprising that the European giants have noticed the Brazilian's progress. Hopefully, Chelsea have, too.
