A football fan has proposed to put all 20 PL teams on two huge ships so they could play all the remaining fixtures there.
A Reddit user CaptEduardoDelMango has come up with an interesting idea of how this Premier League season could be continued if it is decided that it's not safe to play due to the spread of the novel coronavirus.
He proposes to place all 20 PL teams into 2 aircraft carriers. A Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carrier is a huge warship used, as the name suggests, to carry planes. However, as CaptEduardoDelMango says, there are 'no planes for them, because we're idiots'.
Given their enormous size, one carrier can comfortably fit four football pitches. One ship also has enough place for 679 people.
Hence, all Prem teams (25 players each plus staff) should be put on these two ships, leaving them to play all the remaining games.
"Two week testing and quarantine period, we move the Premier League off-shore, I collect my OBE for services to British sports. Done," said CaptEduardoDelMango.
As another user noted in the comments, 'we can call it The PremierShip'.
Obviously, it's nothing other that a funny suggestion, similar to the amusing thought experiment that results in Crystal Palace being crowned champions.
