Emery seems to have finally found a radical solution to LB conundrum
- Unai has been experimenting with Danny Welbeck in training
- Hailing his positional functionality, Arsenal boss tied playing him as a full-back
- The Gunners welcome champions Manchester City to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday
While Welbeck's ability to operate in a number of different roles within the attack has often worked against him with poor finishing, shots off goal and general disappointment with striker's abilities, Unai seems to have finally found a way to use Danny's pace to team's advantage.
27-year-old has now even been tried out as a defender under new head coach Emery as both Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac will be missing the visit of Pep Guardiola's team through injuries and poor form.
"Danny Welbeck is one of the players who has a multi-position possibility," the Arsenal boss said.
"Right winger, left winger, striker, and also yesterday he worked with us at left-back - his performance was good! I like this spirit. To help positions across the team with positive spirit."
Do you think Welbeck could be played as an LB in today's encounter?
