Denis Suarez, who is heavily linked with a loan move to Arsenal, has impressed during a cup game on Thursday night. Coming on at minute 67 when the Catalan giants were trailing 2-0 already he made significant impact on the game and kept his side in the competition ahead of the reverse fixture.
He won a penalty that Philippe Coutinho easily converted to make the score 2-1. But it was his run that led to foul in the box that's worth to be seen. Starting his move on the right flank he dribbled past two opponents, nutmegging one of the defenders, before being brought down in the area.
Thus, despite he had lack of playing time under Valverde, Denis has shown he still has a lot in him.
Earlier the 25-year-old midfielder claimed he wouldn't stay at Barca because the Blaugrana's boss Ernesto Valverde hadn't quite stuick to his promise to give Suarez enough game time to prove himself.
Reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed this month Barcelona and Arsenal are in talks over Denis Suarez who is supposed to join the Gunners in January. Emery confirmed Arsenal were interested in the Barcelona ace.
The club are looking for quality addition, but the problem is a scarce transfer budget. In fact, the Gunners are only considering loan moves in January as the manager revealed during the pre-Hammers press conference.
