Juve boss Allegri raises doubts over necessity of Ramsey transfer
- Reports in Italy have spread rumours that Rambo has already signed a pre-contract with Juve.
- British Sky Sports have confirmed that as well.
- However, the Juve manager claims he already has 5 top midfielders at his disposal.
Max Allegri has surprised everyone at the press conference ahead of his side's Coppa Italia clash with Bologna when asked about Ramsey-Juve rumours: “I can already rely on five top midfielders. They are so good that I need nobody," Allegri said. "Tomorrow we must maintain our focus or we’d have lost a target”.
According to various top sources (Italian and British), the 28-year-old has already agreed on a move to Turin. He is claimed to have already penned a pre-contract agreement with the Old Lady. It is reported that Bianconeri are offering Ramsey a five-year contract, with a base annual salary of €6.5m. His salary has a chance to change to €7m if he manages to complete 50% of his appearance target, and to €8m if he reaches 70% level.
Unai Emery was speaking about Aaron Ramsey’s future at the press conference:
"It’s an individual situation rather than the team. My idea and focus, I say to him every day, is that we need his performance for us. In the last match I was very happy with him. I asked in the last match at Blackpool if he is okay to help us play and he said, 'Yeah, coach, I want to play' and he played with a very big behaviour and commitment to us.
"After, his future belongs to him, his family and agent. Every day he’s here with us, he’s working very well. I want his behaviour and his focus to be on West Ham on Saturday."
On Welshman's decision
"I respect his decision a lot."
On his situation
"I cannot say more about his situation. The most important thing is that Aaron Ramsey is with us. His future I respect a lot because he has a very private decision but he is with us every day, and I repeat that I am very happy with him."
