Select your favourite Gunners' starting XI vs Hammers from 3 options below. Leave your choice in the comments and explain your pick!
The Gunners have a significant injury boost ahead of the clash vs West Ham as Hector Bellerin, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Laurent Koscielny, Mesut Ozil, Nacho Monreal and Shkodran Mustafi have all been declared fit and are in contention to start vs the Hammers.
Option 1. All cards on table from start.
As Ozil and Bellerin are both fit Emery could opt to slot them in the starting XI after a period on the sidelines. Both have really good qualities going forward and could of immense use vs West Ham. Pellegrini's side can't boast a reliable defence as they have already shipped 32 goals this seasons. Leaving Laca on the bench doesn't seem to be a good choice. It looks more reasonable to give a starting berth to both our strikers, so that we could unleash our best attackers to outgun the Hammers.
Option 2. Balanced approach
This option has its merits. Though, Ozil will find himself on the bench. He might be fit but who knows if the German is ready to play full 90 minutes. Thus, Emery could prefer to use Ramsey to do Mesut's job and operate as No.10 vs West Ham. This scheme also implies a 3-man midfield with Guendouzi completing the unit, playing alongside Xhaka and Torreira. This type of selection will probably give us more reliability at the back.
Option 3. No need to change winning squad.
What about relying on the same line-up that thrashed Fulham 4-1 in the last Premier League outing? Definitely, the final score does not fully reflect a real difference (we were lucky to concede just one goal), but let's be honest we don't have personnel at the back to get things better at the moment. Hopefully, Mustafi-Sokratis-Koscielny as a unit will grow in confidence playing regularly.
