Karma hits back at Deeney as fans troll him over famous interview
- Back in 2017, the forward claimed Arsenal lacked 'cojones'.
- He also mentioned how he likes riling the Gunners up.
- The Watford icon was sent off for elbowing Torreira on Monday.
Last season we lost 2-1 against Watford and Troy Deeney famously stated that Arsenal have no grit or passion about themselves. However, the forward also said something else which now makes it look as if he deliberately elbowed Lucas Torreira to the face.
Since Deeney said we lacked cojones, Watford have failed to score to against us, Deeney’s missed a penalty and now been sent off inside the first 10 minutes of a game. There’s your ‘cojones’. Clown. #AFC— Gunners.com (@Gunnersc0m) April 15, 2019
"I’m not going to be one to tell Mr Wenger about himself, but there's a reason that they lost and it wasn't because of one penalty.
"I have to watch what I say, but it's [having] a bit of cojones, is what I'll say. Whenever I play against Arsenal, I'll go up and think 'let me whack the first one and see who wants it."
Many fans see this as karma bringing the forward down to reality after his arrogant 'cojones' interview. Some have even urged the FA to extend his ban so that Deeney misses the FA Cup final in May.
