Cech responds to rumours of him becoming Chelsea's next sporting director
- Sky Sports report that the keeper will return to Stamford Bridge after the final in a backroom staff capacity.
- The veteran claims he has still not made a decision about his future.
- The 36-year-old adds that his focus is on winning the Europa League.
Yesterday Sky Sports reported that Chelsea and Petr Cech had an agreement that the keeper would become the Blues' next sporting director after the final in Baku. However, the veteran himself has now denied that claim.
"Despite the news today as I had already said to everybody before, I’ll make decision about my future after the last game. Now my sole focus is to win the EL with Arsenal."
At this moment it is still unclear which keeper will start for the Gunners in the Europa League final. Some fans believe Chelsea, the club that supposedly treats Petr Cech as a club legend, leaked the agreement and ruined his chances of playing in the final.
The veteran could also stay at Arsenal in a coaching capacity as the Gunners reportedly offered him the role about a month ago.
