UOL: Arsenal consider formal bid for Copa America winner Everton Soares

According to UOL and GloboEsporte, reliable sources in Brazil, Arsenal new technical director Edu is trying to land Gremio star Everton Soares. The Gunners' chief already held talks with the forward's agent Gilmar Veloz while Copa America was still ongoing.
He returned to London to discuss the cost of the potential move. Arsenal are now considering making a formal bid to Gremio.
Everton was asked about his future after Gremio’s 2-1 win over Vasco on Saturday. He said: "I really do not know what can happen, the more time goes by, the more things are tapering down."
Atletico Madrid are also interested in the 23-year-old. The Spanish club are reportedly ready to spend €35m (£30.5m) on the attacker.
Everton's main position is on the left wing but he's also able to play on the right and as a lone striker. He has made 145 appearances for Gremio and has netted 38 times for the club.
The forward contributed to Brazil's triumph at the Copa America. Everton scored 3 goals to win the Golden Boot award.
