- It appears to be an Achilles problem.
- He will be assessed further later.
Yesterday, Granit Xhaka once again captained Switzerland to a 4-0 win over Gibraltar.
However, no everything went as planned and the 26-year-old sustained an unfortunate Achilles injury late in the second half and was immediately subbed off.
According to injury specialist Ben Dinnery, the midfielder will be assessed further later, along with Lucas Torreira who picked up a knock while playing for Uruguay.
At the moment, the severity of the two players' injuries are unknown but it is expected that Torreira was subbed off just as a precaution.
Let's hope Xhaka's injury isn't too serious.
