'Need a miracle to get a point'; 'Win would be gargantuan': Arsenal and Leicester fans share pre-game expectations
Both Gunners and Foxes are aiming at a top 4 finish by the end of the season but their fans feel so differently ahead of tonight's clash!
- Arsenal fans' expectations:
uncle mus: "Guys, we are surprising Leicester City tomorrow, they are over-confident and we are beating them hands down. BELIEVE THAT!!!"
Fabio Iori: "This team must believe in themselves. If they do, the whole team will work harder to achieve. At this point, they don’t have it. They are nervous and in fear of the loss. Get that Winning streak fever again. Then it will all come back."
OyeniyiSB Invincible: "The b****** will defend, we will sock up pressure for the earlier part of the game but will still concede. He will, however, not to equalize in the second half but Leicester will again then hit us on the counter. 2-0 they will beat us."
Edgar Carzola: "Arsenal as a team and a club, we are running from pride to shame. We lost our pedigree and slogan of the beautiful game, our motto of leading as others follow. We are too weak, even facing a mediocre team like Leicester keeps fans worried how many goals are we gonna ship in. It's games like these that we used to go with the option of winning."
Chris Otiato Muga: "Arsenal just doesn't have the intensity and energy to match Leicester, it will be a whitewash, embarrassing scoreline."
Borneo Gunner: "Massive game. If we lose this one, most probably Emery is going out. Let's see what his plan is. This is a must-win game, if not, he will be booted out."
Zhang Da Hu: "Considering everything at the moment, we need a miracle for us to get a point on Saturday."
- Leicester City fans' expectations (via Foxestalk.co.uk):
Hammo: "On current form, we are better than Arsenal, we are at home and should win. That’s why we are favourites. But let’s not kid ourselves that this is going to be a walk in the park. A win would be gargantuan in terms of the season’s prospects, but it won’t come easy; we are going to have to produce another top-notch performance to earn it."
StriderHiryu: "It's a crucial game. Win and I'd say yes I think we will get top 4, and I'd say even a draw is a decent result as it keeps the gap at quite a nice margin with a nice run of games coming up. As it stands I think we will win and Emery gets sacked afterwards!"
Gerard: "Arsenal conceded 25 shots at home to Wolves last match. That tells me this is a team that is disjointed and not playing for its manager. The consensus is that Emery will get the sack if he loses to us. If the Arsenal players have no faith in their manager they may only play at 95% subconsciously, I expect us to be a much better cohesive and motivated unit and put these to the sword."
splinterdream: "Palace was a big test, they were up for it but we were better, same again this week, think it'll be a great game with both sides knowing the importance of it but we'll be at home and on form, keep the faith."
Bazly: "Always good to get the view from the other side so trawled a couple of Arsenal forums on their pre-match take on things. Their tone is very downbeat with most expecting a bit of a hiding. They definitely have a thing for Vardy, something of the rejected lover about it. From our viewpoint, we don't tend to do too well against Arsenal and seeing this is a genuine 6 pointer so long as we don't lose then I'll be a happy bunny."
