A lot of Arsenal fans feel nostalgic for Arsene Wenger times given the current results are massively disappointing.
Comparing our former boss with Unai Emery, the Gunners supporters highlight such differences as tactical approaches, squad quality, handling the atmosphere in the dressing room and sometimes even knowledge of English. However, our user adebo showunmi has posted a comment that offers an interesting take on the biggest difference between Arsene and Unai times.
Here is what he writes:
"We don't need to sign any players in January window. Let us make sense here, are we saying Wolves, Leicester, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, Liverpool and Manchester City players are better than our players?
"I believe our players are equally good players but the problem here is how we train them, what kind of training regime they go through every day and also how we prepare their mentality or mental strength. Then we need to look at tactics, philosophy and selection. Nobody can win a game with a fear factor. Selecting 5 defenders is an indication of fear.
"Once upon a time, we played Barca at it's best and we won. Why? Because we played with our philosophy and tactics, the players' selection were Song, Eboué, Fabregas, Walcott etc. These are players who never had good ratings. The truth of the matter is most time we played with 12 players, not 11, our manager was always an extra player to make it 12.
"In order to achieve success with this present squad, Emery's mindset must change."
