Matthijs de Ligt wins Kopa Trophy, Matteo Guendouzi outside top 3

- The Juve centre-back takes the Kopa Trophy home.
- The award is given to the best-performing U-21 footballer.
- The winner has been selected from a 10-man shortlist.
The 20-year-old Juventus defender, who played for Ajax last year, has won the Kopa Trophy.
Matteo Guendouzi finished outside the top 3 in the race for the award. Jadon Sancho and Joao Felix have been voted second and third respectively.
The Kopa Trophy is awarded annually by the France Football magazine to the best under-21 player.
Matteo is also in the running for the Golden boy award.
Last year, PSG striker Kylian Mbappe took home the inaugural trophy.

guendouzi wasn't even supposed to be nominated in the first place.. he runs around the pitch doing nothing and he makes arsenal first eleven. arsenal is going backwards..
