'Cheap option'; 'Bloody joke': Arsenal fans react to rumours of Ljungberg getting permanent job
If Freddie Ljungberg manages to fix things at Arsenal, he could replicate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who was granted a permanent job at United (and look where the Red Devils are now). To say Tribuna.com's Arsenal fans are not happy to hear the rumour would be a clear understatement.
Most of our users are either very cautious when they imagine Freddie taking over at Arsenal permanently or just angry. Ljungberg definitely has Arsenal in his DNA but it's not enough to take the Gunners back to the game's elite.
💬 Stuart Lakey: "This board are the major problem at the club. Freddie is a cheap option and that's all they care about."
💬 Robert Spiller: "Give him 6 months and then think about next year! But definitely sort out this nightmare defence!"
💬 Arthur Rowe: "Freddie Ljungberg has just taken over please don't judge him yet. But Arsenal are one of the greatest clubs, so the board should not drag their feet in getting a new manager. Looking at the table, if they keep dropping points, they will find themselves in the relegation zone."
💬 Adekunle Ilemobade: "Choosing a manager with a pedigree is not a luxurious decision, it is a necessity for Arsenal. I hope the board will stop playing with the clubs future and do the needful."
💬 Al-hussein: "Freddie can not take us to the level we want. You can see it from his selection and substitutions."
💬 PivotKonceptz: "Truth is, Freddie isn't an option in any way. A disjointed team such as ours requires the ingenuity of a coach with a bank of experience and winning DNA. Ljungberg doesn't fit the dozier."
💬 Mo, London Reds: "Freddie Ljungberg is doing his job as a caretaker. Keep it going but don't do what happened to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. We need Zidane or Brendan Rodgers, Ancelotti, Rafa Benitez as Arsenal manager."
💬 Haji Mohamed: "No way. Ljungberg is a bloody joke. He’s not even fit to be in our coaching staff anymore. Ljungberg is total rubbish. Get Pochettino or Allegri."
