14 companies enter Brazil's legal gambling market within first week of new regulations

On January 1, Brazil launched its long-awaited legal online gambling market, granting full authorization to 14 companies. An additional 52 have provisional licenses, pending resolution of outstanding issues.
By August, 113 companies had applied for federal licenses to operate in the sector.
