Responsible gambling feature My Spend gains traction with 'almost half' of FanDuel’s clients in under three months since launch
In a report released ahead of the 2025 Super Bowl LIX, online bookmaker FanDuel announced that nearly 3.5 million clients—almost half of its user base—have engaged with its MySpend feature to monitor their time and spending on the platform.
Launched in early December, the responsible gambling tool has seen rapid adoption, particularly during the 2024/25 NFL playoffs when FanDuel intensified its promotional efforts across broadcast and digital media.
The latest enhancement, Deposit Alerts, allows clients to set daily, weekly, and monthly budget targets, notifying them when they reach their specified limits.
Jill Watkins, senior commercial director of responsible gaming at FanDuel, stated, "Since the launch of My Spend, we've seen a meaningful rise in engagement with tools that give our customers the ability to create a personalized plan to manage their play."
According to FanDuel's report, the company is increasing its efforts to utilize technology for early intervention in cases of identified at-risk behaviour, with new initiatives expected to be revealed later this year.
