1xBet strikes partnership with eSports tournament organizer PGL
Online gambling operator 1xBet has partnered with PGL, a Bucharest-based eSport production business that organizes Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2 competitions.
1xBet will serve as PGL's only worldwide betting partner through 2026.
"This two-year partnership aims to support the growth of esports in new regions and make tournaments more engaging for fans," PGL stated via its Instagram account on Wednesday.
PGL and 1xBet's partnership will expand the audience for Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2. The agreement guarantees more exposure for the games by including advertising placements during PGL tournaments and broadcasting rights for 1xBet.
The PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 competition in Romania, set to take place between February 14-25, will be the inaugural event under this collaboration. With a $1,250,000 prize fund, it will feature 16 teams, including 3DMax, Virtus.pro, and FaZe Clan.
