As Sky's Florian Plettenberg reports, Man United are currently in an active search for a new left-back. This is understandable, as reinforcing this position has earlier been reported as the highest priority for Ruben Amorim.

Here is the shortlist of three left-backs who Man United can sign. Some of them were already closely monitored by the club, while some only appeared on United's radar after Amorim's appointment.

1) Alphonso Davies

Canadian left-back, whose contract with Bayern expires this summer, remains the desired target for Man United. His attacking ability make him a perfect left-back for Amorim system - however, signing him definitely won't be easy.

2) Theo Hernandez

Theo is also a type of attacking left-back that could suit Ruben Amorim's tactics perfectly. His contract with AC Milan is valid until 2026, and his signing will be quite expensive. However, there are definitely no doubts about his level of play.

3) Milos Kerkez

Hungarian Bournemouth left-back is the least experienced player on the list - however, it doesn't necessarily mean he is worse. 21-year-old Kerkez was monitored by Man Untied for quite a long time, and recently also attracted interest from Liverpool. This is just his second season in the Premier League - however, Kerkez already proved himself to be a very good player.
