Angel di Maria is on course to beat Cristiano Ronaldo as the player with the most Champions League assists in history.
The Argentine currently has 41 goal-leading passes in the competition, just one assist fewer than Cristiano. Benfica have three league phase matches left (against Bologna, Barcelona and Juventus) and there's a good chance they will also advance to the knockout stage.
Out of Di Maria's 41 assists in the Champions League, 20 came when he played for Real Madrid from 2010 to 2014, the other for Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Benfica.
