⚽ 225 goals in a single season! Barcelona v Borussia Dortmund means battle of two most prolific teams in Champions League

Four months ago, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund faced each other in the Champions League. Interestingly, the two teams scored the most goals in the league phase.

Now, they face off in the quarterfinals. Based on this upcoming clash, we will show you what kind of stats Tribuna.com have for each game – they are really useful.

First of all, the game will take place at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona at 21:00 CET.

Bookies and Tribuna.com users are convinced Barcelona will win.

The main official is Norwegian Espen Eskas.

The pre-match insights prove Barca are the favourites. The Catalans haven't lost any of their last 22 games and conceded just 0.8 goals per game in their last five fixtures while scoring 2.6 goals per match. Unbelievable results of Hans-Dieter Flick's team – you can see all of Blaugrana's results under the German here.

Borussia Dortmund have conceded 1.2 goals per game in their last five matches, scoring 1.8. Feels like we're up for another high-scoring clash, especially given that the scoreline was 3-2 in the December encounter.

Over the weekend, Barcelona shared the spoils with Real Betis (1-1) at home while Borussia Dortmund beat Freiburg away from home. Those were the teams' starting line-ups:

Sadly, both managers have certain squad limitations, with notable injuries on both sides – Nico Schlotterbeck's fresh setback should be highlighted. You may get the full info on line-ups (average age, the number of foreign players, best players, etc.) here.

The two teams have faced each other three times – Dortmund haven't won any of the clashes.

But are Dortmund that poor?

Statistically, Barca overshadow their opposition in every stat this season – you may see it here. The teams often score Over (2.5) Goals, so we're likely to see a goalscoring thriller tonight – the numbers prove it. Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund have bagged 225 goals combined in all competitions this season.

Dortmund have gained a decent form in their last five games, even beating Blaugrana in certain attacking metrics. But don't forget that La Liga and the Bundesliga are quite different.

Another factor that favours the Black-and-Yellow is Barca's difficult calendar. In their last five fixtures, Flick's side faced Real Betis, Atletico Madrid (twice), Girona and Osasuna.

Borussia Dortmund, in turn, played against Freiburg, Mainz, RB Leipzig, Lille and Augsburg.

You can see the best players of both teams in the last few games here. You may filter them by 5, 10 matches or the whole season.

Of course, Barcelona are the favourites, but Borussia Dortmund will be hoping to pull off a miracle in front of their 81,000-man crowd at the Signal Iduna Park.
