Lampard has to play Giroud and United loss proves it again
As Chelsea have lost 2-0 to Manchester United, Olivier Giroud has proven once again that he doesn't deserve to be treated the way he is under Frank Lampard.
In 22 minutes, the 2018 World Cup winner showed more both offensively and defensively than Michy Batshuayi did in 68 minutes.
Besides, Giroud might be even better than Tammy Abraham in some ways. He offers something that neither Tammy nor Michy does. Olivier is capable of leading the line, comfortable with his back to goal and good at running through central areas.
Giroud has been Didier Deschamps' first-choice striker for a reason and it's a shame he doesn't even play for Chelsea.
