Quality on the bench?..Not such a bad Idea...
So the silly season is upon us once again, that glorious time of the year when we get linked with anyone and everyone...if its not 'Mbappe to Liverpool 'cos his mums a fan', its 'Messi has been spotted at the airport' or something stupid.
However, back to the serious business at hand, are we going to see extra funds available to strengthen our bench this coming season?
When you look at city and the options they have got on the bench, they have like for like replacements in virtually all positions, and could probably win the premier league with just their B team alone, and whilst its clear for all to see that having very deep pockets obviously gives them this unfair advantage, I believe if we want to compete with them again, then we have to have decent players in core positions to bring on from the bench.
This fact is obvious if you look at some of the players we are letting go this summer. The likes of Firminio, Milner and the ox - these are big players!
So when we bring in a few guaranteed starters, are we gonna be looking at strengthening the bench as well??..

Mate as much as I get what you are trying to say! getting FSG to bring the first team up to date is hard enough! let alone the bench! it's why we struggle with injuries because we run our first team into the ground! i personally think this window will be a successful one 🤞 but our bench will still be weak unfortunately!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
havent you learnt from the Chelsea team?? It’s not fsg to blame at all!! You can throw all the money you want to bring in players, it won’t win fuck all!! Tough season going for quad we paying the price yes, but why pay money out on players who only gonna sit on bench and not guaranteed playing!! This seasons a blip, and we’ve won it all and that’s because of the owners with the plan they’ve had!! And anfield looking good to 🙌
Mate the owners have done a great job up to a certain point, however every fan pundit and person with eye's could see we needed reinforcements last season essentially in the midfield and yet we get Arthur Melo on the last day of the transfer window? yes the stand looks great but it makes them money so don't think for one second that they are doing it for the lovd of the club! when we won the league and champions league that was the time to invest in the squad and we sat back with our small club mentally and only brought players after sales ... we're a big club yet we never seem to be after the likes of Naymar or Mbappa, or Haaland? now I'm using these player's as an example but my point is if we needed a forward and these 3 became available could you ever see us going after them? absolutely not and why ? we're LFC we should be but our owners treat us as a small club! and please don't compare The situation with Chelsea ffs absolutely no club is run as bad as that and i certainly don't want our owners acting like that i just want them to realise we're in the top five biggest club's in the world we're one of the most successful clubs in the world and yet i feel as a fan that we're skint we're broke, we need to cut our cloth accordingly! let's just hope that this window is a success they spend a little money get it right and we can all move on regards the owners and live happily ever after!! and not let last season happen again! cheers YNWA
Still not fsg to blame, fsg has transformed us in many ways!! It wasn’t their fault we didn’t sign a midfield sooner, that’s klopps fault by not standing firm and expressing that that was a position which needed strengthening. As for the striker situation I do not want neymar, mbappe or actually halaand. These players have big egos massive wages which are not sustainable for our club, and would only unsettle the squad. Also giving salah 350K a week was a mistake, he’s not been the same player since, apart certain games!! Fsg have built us a great training ground expanding the stadium which can only be good for the future of our club. I like the way we’re structured it makes me more proud rather than buying trophies through some state owned country
Mate your not reading what I've said! i used these player's because they are some of the biggest in world football and i did state i was using them as an example not actually saying we should try to sign them! my point was take away Ego's and wages and base it purely on football ability we still wouldn't bother trying to sign them ? because we act like a small club Even our fan's are believing this to be the case, and it's simply not true....I don't want oil money neither but i want us to compete but not having to sell player's to do this... city haven't spent a fortune in the past 3 seasons yet they strengthen every season we're required! to keep momentum! i don't want to have the best manager in the world and waste his time if we're not going to be serious!
Did we not sign gapko and Nunez too ?? Two players with great prospects 🤷🏻♂️
yes bud, in January when we were in the shit out most of the cups definitely out of the league! all to little to late, and the only reason we signed them was FSG panicked we wouldn't get champions league, look my point is we need to start acting like a big club that means not allowing ourselves to complain to fans that funds are tight and shrinking in transfer windows would fsg sign Alex Macallister if he was 70M ? not likely bud, i don't think he's worth 70M but in this day and age with his pedigree that's normally what we're looking at right now! 35M is a great bit of business as I'd have said 50/55M is about his mark.. let's agree to disagree! see what happens in this window and 🤞 crossed we get our Targets get back on track and then me and you can debate about what route to take on our winning bus parade! cheers....
Mate I like u, If I have this conversation with anyone else on this app I’ll get abuse. I believe this season coming is gonna be so different to what we’ve had previous season Mac allister is an awesome buy and many more 🤞 I’m not miss understanding what your saying bro just trying put things in perspective. We’re a massive club owned by billionaires but also it’s a business. I see where we’ve been in last thirty years supporting them, and I can only see a bright future with fsg or who they’ll sale too, rather than seeing the past thirty years. Hope alls well with u mate YNWA 👍
Of course bud you have an opinion i have mine! I'll debate mine and I'd like you to debate yours absolutely no need to abuse you for having an opinion bud! I've been supporting this club for about 30 years also so i do appreciate what FSG have done believe me it's been the best few year's of my life!! being back on top has been fantastic however standing still for the past two year's has been extremely frustrating!! . if you go back to some of my post's you'll see i have Defended the team because of what happened the season before last with the quadruple i believe Fatigue played a massive part also a world cup in the middle of the season really didn't help the players all rushed back for Pre- season really early and the fact we played ever minute of every single game available that's a lot of football... so i do understand! anyway I'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt it's clear they realise that we belong in the champions league we're hopefully getting our targets done early so let's see what happens bud! 👍
Let the summer talk through transfers and and see how the new season starts, and we’ll talk again!! Then also you’ll realise fsg will benefit the future of our club!!😜
Our lack of quality on the bench really cost us a lot this season
Yeah, I totally agree..and it was embarrassing sometimes..especially against the likes of city...
I felt like breaking my tv during the city match We didn’t play like winning at all
The season of linking Liverpool with every quality Players available, but end up with none. Then come a superb defensive statement from Liverpool manager for the reasons why we must live by the fsg decision as they are saving to bring in Mbappe, Messi, Ronaldo, Haaland, and vinicius junior to Liverpool next season. May Almighty Allah keep us safe to witness their arrival. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
