Report: £70m rated international would rather join Chelsea than Tottenham HotspurJuly 15,
Jules Kounde has reportedly rejected an approach from Tottenham Hotspur as he would prefer to play for a ‘bigger club’ like Chelsea.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who claim Kounde is not keen on joining Tottenham, due to their lack of Champions League football.
Sevilla’s highly-rated centre-back is eager to leave the Spanish club, but for someone who can offer him European action.

Chelsea can certainly present this delicacy, considering they are the reigning holders of football’s grandest European prize.
Even if they hadn’t won the Champions League, a top-four Premier League finish last season ensured their name would be in the hat once again.
Kounde’s refusal of Spurs should spark some interest within the Blues camp, who have been heavily linked with the Frenchman this window.

Thomas Tuchel would like a new centre-back added to his roster, especially as Marc Guehi is on the verge of signing for Crystal Palace.
With one talented youngster on the way out, Chelsea could do with recruiting another to take his place.

He played 49 times for Sevilla in 2020/21 and was selected for France’s European Championship camp.

His contract does not run out until 2024, hence why the Spaniards have placed a £70m (La Colina da Nervion) price tag on his shoulders.
However, Roman Abramovich might not have the cash to splash if he wants to buy Erling Haaland.

haba Chelsea selling your own talented young players buying other clubs talents I'm not very happy about it,we have to learn to be patient with our academy players, without super Franky players like Mason mount James would've also missed out, but we like buying it in hundreds millions from other clubs and then we'll be patient with them ,for example if bought a player like Abraham some millions then we'll be patient enough for him to pick form
