Atletico linked with Napoli midfielder Allan: here's why it's really good news for Arsenal

Diego Simeone's side are keen on landing Allan, a Brazilian midfielder who plays for Napoli. That's according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo (h/t Sport Witness).

Of course, the transfer business of other clubs is not of concern to Arsenal fans but this one directly affects Arsenal. If the rumour is true, then there is a clear Gunners trace in the Rojiblancos' interest.

The thing is, Allan and certain Thomas Partey possess very similar characteristics: both are good with the ball at their feet, brilliant passers and good at tackling and intercepting the ball.

So Atletico are looking for a replacement to the Arsenal-linked Ghana international.

Let's hope Edu Gaspar pulls off a move for Partey and we'll finally get a quality midfielder in the Patrick Vieira role.
