Sadio Mané: Should he be dropped?
An ongoing debate of the season, especially the past few weeks has been should Sadio Mané be benched or not? I believe highlighting this now in the aftermath of the super league disaster is important. Sadio is a member of our club. The identity of our club and its principles have been highlighted since the Super League debacle.
As a result, I find it extremely hypocritical of those calling for FSG out and whatnot, who also think the only solution for Mané is to drop him.
Dropping the Senegalese speedster would be detrimental to his career. We should be supporting a member of our family, i mean that's the identity of our club, a family. Dropping Sadio is not the solution, supporting him and his place in the team can save his career and I'm sure that this is a blip in form that can be recovered from. It's not too late!
There is no doubt the speed merchant can regain his form. Keeping Mané in the starting line up on match day will make strides in helping him regain the confidence and therefore the form we saw from him.
It's easy to now come to the conclusion Sadio has to be shown that we the supporters and the club have faith in him. If not, what are we fighting for when we say our club's identity, integrity and history needs to be protected?
Well, that's my take - let me know yours down below!

Every player did have his ups and downs. We have to give the players our moral support no matter the circumstances affecting their performances. That's why we are liverpool . The game against united is a must for him to start because he is always a problem for united 's defence everytime we play them. He keeps them the whole game on their back feet through the game.
Mane should work out his problem's on the training grounds. He is infective as a sub therefore, dropping him is only temporary till he finds himself again. These problems happen all the time in professional sports.
I would definitely not drop Sadio but tell him to focus on tackling like crazy and especially keep Wan Bissaka defending and honest.Just the change of focus will help him relax that crucial bit and he will regain that great confidence and scoring touch.United will rejoice if he doesn't play because even when he's not scoring his sheer pace is a worry and often he's laid on great passes only to see the chances wasted so just change his focus for a half and see what happens. My guess is a few decent tackles and some runs at defenders will do wonders for him and more importantly for the whole team
Couldnt have put it better myself Bobby. Tell him to go out and win at least 5 balls in the first half then, them kinda small wins will help him a lot. When a player is succeeding in certain elements of his play his overall confidence will improve, hence improving his overall game.
spot on Mullen we simply must utilise his sheer pace if nothing else against United's back four otherwise they got it easy and can dictate .Robbo and Trent too need to get their shots in not just crosses both are well capable of scoring by using their pace to get into the area and unleash with power. That way Mo and Diogo or Bobby will also caoutalise on rebounds.
