Does Hudson-Odoi deserve more game time or should he be sold ?
• Is Hudson-Odoi still the face of Chelsea's future?
• The Young academy prospect not living to expectations.
• The 19-year old not getting enough game time due to pulisic and new arrivals in Ziyech.
• Could this be another Prospect left out, and not given enough time and games?
Callum Hudson-Odoi a Chelsea academy prospect, who looks to be one for the future to light up Stamford Bridge. The 19-year-old England international made his debut for Chelsea FC at the age of 17 years, under former manager Antonio Conte. He came on as a sub, against Newcastle in the FA Cup, on January 28, a game which Chelsea went on to win 3 goals to nothing. Callum Hudson-Odoi got 12 minutes under his belt, and won the hearts of many Chelsea fans, as they were eager to see more of him and excited about such a talented and pacy attacking player.
Callum Hudson-Odoi has gone to starting more games and coming in as a sub after his debut season under Conte. He got more game time when Chelsea hired Maurizio Sarri, as he put on a great display whenever he was called upon.
He then went on to score more goals for Chelsea in the UEFA Europa League, as he was used as an alternative to Eden Hazard. Hudson-Odoi went on to light up the competition making assists for his fellow Chelsea players in the competition, creating beautiful chances and getting a couple of goals to his name.
He helped Chelsea reach the final of the competition but got injured in a Premier League game against Burnley.
This prevented him from playing in the Europa League Final, as Chelsea hammered Arsenal 4-1 in the London derby.
Hudson-Odoi came back from injury to a slightly new Chelsea squad and a new manager, as Chelsea appointed Stamford Bridge legend Frank Lampard. Hudson-Odoi hasn’t gone on to live up to most of the Chelsea fans' expectations.
During his injury, speculations of Hudson-Odoi wanting and not getting an improved contract and the number 10 jersey got headlines everywhere. The speculations grew stronger as Bayern Munich emerged.
The German club was eager to take the winger. They went as far as offering him a guaranteed starting place and the number 10 jersey.
Lampard 's appointment and the two-window transfer ban on Chelsea played a significant role in keeping the player at the club, as Hudson-Odoi signed a new and improved deal, although without the number 10 jersey.
Many fans have gone on to call for him to be loaned out, or even sold as they felt he’s got nothing to offer the club.
Could we be seeing another talent let go by such a big club due to lack of patience, just like we’ve seen in the past? The likes of Serge Gnabry (Arsenal to Bayern Munich ), Jadon Sancho (Man City to Dortmund ), Raheem Sterling (Liverpool to Man City), Nathan Ake (Chelsea to Bournemouth), Kevin De Bruyne (Chelsea to Wolfsburg), Romelu Lukaku (Chelsea to Everton) were all sold out by top Premier League teams and have gone to establish themselves elsewhere.
Raheem Sterling, who is similar to Hudson-Odoi, has got a lot of criticism from Liverpool fans after his transfer to Man City.
He's gone on to establish himself and win the Premier League.
Do you think Chelsea selling or loaning out Hudson-Odoi would be the right decision?.

I've seen reports that Callum is yet to regain his form after that injury, and he seems to accept that. Hopefully, it won't be too long before we see the 2018-19 Hudson-Odoi version
His recent display shows he's getting back up to his form and I really worry on how or when he'll get a starting spot in the team
By the way, top work, man! I've just made slight changes to your post and shared it in the main feed 👍
Mikhail Shalashov, thanks. mate, there's plenty of where that came from, just showing the admin what i can being to the table and a different way to hear the fans opinion and their thoughts.
Yeah, that's awesome, we're definitely looking forward to hearing more from you!
Exactly! He is improving, his recent games shows dat
loam him to premier league club
With the likes of Pulisic and now Ziyech coming in, I don't think he will have the game time he wants without seizing the opportunity when giving the chance to shine. This certainly will prove to Lampard that he can be relied on. if not he should be loaned to a good club that will be willing to grant him play time, at least for six months.
A big club don't depend on two good wingers alone, look at the like of Manchester city, Real Madrid and Co. They are always in top form because wen any player is out of form, the other player will pick up. So with this, it will make the starting eleven competitive and the best will come up from them all
