Caught on camera: Trent Alexander-Arnold face as he watches Liverpool fans jubilant in defeat

After Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat to Brighton Trent Alexander-Arnold’s reaction has been a focal point for fans and media alike.

The full-back, who is set to leave Liverpool this summer for Real Madrid, was an unused substitute in the match, a decision by manager Arne Slot that many interpreted as a response to the hostile reception Trent has received from some Liverpool supporters following his announcement to leave.

At the end of the match, cameras spotted Trent's reaction, and he was far from happy, while the Reds fans were dancing in the background.

His “Summer of 66” farewell event, held at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre, sparked controversy among fans who felt it was overly commercial and detached from the club’s traditional values, contributing to the chilly atmosphere toward him

I'm the same as him, don't like this drop off at all, should be laying down the marker for next season, not helping other teams,we should have gone for it against Chelsea and arsenal, the lower they finish the less money they get ,and in Chelsea's case they could have struggled for champions League place.

What’s the fascination with player who shit on LFC and the fans by doing a deal behind clubs back to get free transfer !!Who cares what he does now ! He’s shown everyone he’s a snake ! He’s history now !!

Please mark my words for 12 months time, looking at Trent’s body language he’s having second thoughts. In 18 months time he’ll be looking back on this decision and thinking “why the fuck did I leave Liverpool?” Grass isn’t always greener, sometimes believe your own hype, and join a team with no class and full of prima donna’s. Not seen as a legend by your boyhood team for the rest of your life. I just hope he’s factored in a cheap release clause into his contract.
