Dele Alli reacts after getting sent off in first professional game in 748 days

Dele Alli had to wait for 748 days to return to the pitch for the first time since February 2023. However, his comeback did not go to plan at all.
The former England international was shown a direct red card just 10 minutes after coming on the pitch as a sub in his first appearance for Serie A side Como.
Alli was punished for a brutal challenge on Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Even his manager Cesc Fabregas had no complaints, saying that Alli 'perhaps didn’t deserve this opportunity' to play after just two weeks of training.
Alli has now finally reacted to the incident on his Instagram, saying: "I was always going to announce my return in some way after these past two years, would rather it had been with a goal [cover face emoji] but feels good to be back [love heart emoji]."
