Everton fans will be allowed to break strict Premier League rule after final Goodison Park game
The Toffees are moving to a new stadium next season.
Everton supporters will be permitted to break a usual Premier League rule as they say goodbye to Goodison Park this Sunday, with Southampton visiting for the club's final game at the historic ground.
As part of the farewell celebrations, fans will be allowed to drink alcohol within sight of the pitch — something normally prohibited — after the final whistle.
Drinks can be bought from bars and kiosks until 2:45pm and taken to seats to enjoy during the 'End of an Era' ceremony, which will feature past and present players, music performances and video tributes.
The club has planned a full day of festivities, including a special team coach welcome by the 1878 supporters' group before kickoff.
Everton have reminded fans not to remove seats or memorabilia, warning that doing so would be treated as criminal damage.
While moving to Bramley Moore Dock, the club still plans for Goodison Park to serve the community, with proposals including new housing, a health centre, green spaces and job-creating office developments.
