'Hiding in Australia': Man United react as Sir Jim Ratcliffe spotted taking care of his F1 investment

Man United may be the largest but far from the only item in Sir Jim Ratcliffe's sports portfolio.

INEOS, his petrochemical company, is a part-owner of F1 team Mercedes.

The F1 season started this weekend in Melbourne, Australia, and Ratcliffe was spotted at the race track in Albert Park.

Man United fans are already pre-disposed to being critical of Ratcliffe, especially since he said in an interview that he had already grown tired of the scrutiny.

Here's how some fans on social media reacted to Ratcliffe's appearance down under.

Kev Dog: "Sir Jim Ratcliffe is hiding in Australia with the F1"

Jon: "Just seen Ratcliffe at the Melbourne Grand Prix. He must be glad to be thousands of miles away from all the abuse"

Julie: "Jfc I forgot I had to see Jim Ratcliffe in F1 as well, thought this was a safe space, I cannot catch a break"

ria: "Jim Ratcliffe all the way in Australia, no wonder United were so good this week"

A New United?
SO WHAT? Jim does have other interests to ruin. He probably layoff the pit crew an unnecessary expense in his eyes.
