'Inconsistent and unreliable': Fan urges Real Madrid cash in on two high-profile names
Controversial opinion.
Real Madrid are likely to be quite proactive in the 2025 summer transfer window as they look to shake up the squad for next season.
Los Blancos have already signed Dean Huijsen and are likely to confirm the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold soon as well.
Real Madrid will have to sell some players to generate enough funds for more high-profile signings and keep their finances in check.
One Real Madrid fan on Reddit, Little-Leaopard-8581, has urged the club to sell Rodrygo for a profit, amid the Brazilian’s strong links towards an exit.
The supporter has also urged Real Madrid to sell Vinicius Jr and try to replace him with someone like Erling Haaland.
The fan stated: “1. Rodrygo. He’s inconsistent and unpredictable. One game he looks like a star, the next he disappears or gets caught up in unnecessary drama.
"His on-and-off form combined with immature behavior on and off the pitch is a liability. We need players who deliver consistently, not ones who throw more tantrums than match-winning performances.
“2. Vinícius Jr. Yes, he’s incredibly talented — but let’s be honest, his form in the second half of the season was poor. Too often, he disappears in big moments. With the value he holds right now, selling him could bring in significant funds. That money could be used to build a more balanced and stable squad.
“We already have quality options in his position, and with those funds, we could target key signings — someone like Rodri to control the midfield and a world-class striker like Haaland to lead the line. That kind of investment could take us to another level.”
