Man City unveil mosaic and road in honour of De Bruyne

Manchester City Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has paid a heartfelt tribute to the club's departing legend Kevin De Bruyne, unveiling a stunning mosaic and dedicating a road at the City Football Academy in his honour.

The mosaic, created by local Manchester artist Mark Kennedy, captures one of De Bruyne's iconic celebrations from the 6-3 victory over Leicester City in 2021.

It has been installed by a training pitch at the Academy, serving as a lasting testament to De Bruyne's incredible contributions to the club.

Additionally, a road linking the Academy to the first team centre has been renamed Kevin De Bruyne Crescent, further cementing his legacy at the Etihad Stadium.

De Bruyne, who will leave City at the end of the season, has played 420 matches for the Blues, winning an astonishing 19 major honours, including six Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League.

Tonight, De Bruyne will take to the pitch for the final time at the Etihad, as Manchester City face Bournemouth in a fitting sendoff for the Belgian maestro.

The mosaic and road dedication serve as a fitting tribute to a true City legend. This is the latest of of tributes to City legends, including Yaya Toure, Joe Hart, David Silva, Vincent Kompany, Sergio Aguero, Fernandinho and Ilkay Gundogan.
