'This front three not scoring against Arsenal': fans react to Chelsea XI
'Badiashile against Arsenal? God help us'.
Chelsea have been delivered a heavy blow ahead of the Sunday derby with Arsenal. Cole Palmer is out of the matchday squad and won't play against Mikel Arteta's team.
In his absence, Enzo Maresca started the front three of Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho, with Enzo Fernandez behind them and Reece James filling in as a midfielder again.
The lineup does not fill most supporters with confidence — although they concede there's not much Maresca can do now.
Felix: "No Palmer is massive. Changes everything. Massive, massive game for Badiashile and whichever left-footed CB is at RCB. Slight chance it’s a back 5, which fits really nicely with the profiles, but it’s just unlikely. Imagine Cucu will overlap, Nkunku moves inside and Sancho RW."
mohankohan: "Neto, Sancho and Nkunku front three is not scoring goals against Arsenal lol"
Newera2121: "That’s why starting Palmer last weekend was such a poor decision. He was sick, and needed the rest more than ever"
sabershirou: "Hot take: No hate to Palmer at all, I love how he plays, but given his poor form, with him out, we will see better link-up play, or at least better than last season at the Emirates where we were Cole Palmer FC."
Vince: "Badiashile against Arsenal? God help us."
CFCDaily: "George has done more than Nkunku and Sancho recently. And unfortunately it's just a waiting game once again with the goalkeeper."
Headlesshorsman02: "Not a fan, but not much we can do with the injuries we have, I will be shocked if we get anything from this game"
