Villarreal players celebrate Champions League return with style, rehearsing iconic anthem
An important anthem for everyone.
Villarreal staged a thrilling comeback against reigning La Liga champions Barcelona on Matchday 37, overturning a 1-2 deficit to win 3-2 with second-half goals from Alex Baena and Youssef En-Nesyri.
The victory secured 67 points, guaranteeing at least fifth place and a return to the UEFA Champions League for 2025/26, after missing European competitions last season due to an eighth-place finish in 2023/24.
The Yellow Submarine celebrated their comeback in style, with players joyfully practicing to the Champions League anthem, a nod to their upcoming campaign.
Their last Champions League run in 2021/22 saw a stunning semi-final appearance against Liverpool, where they lost 5-2 on aggregate.
