'We are better without you': PSG fans call out Mbappe after beating Arsenal to reach Champions League final
This is really unnecessary
PSG fans have not forgotten about Kylian Mbappe, almost a year after he left them to join Real Madrid on a free.
Mbappe's reason for joining Real Madrid was simple — win the Champions League and possibly the Ballon d'Or.
Unfortunately for Mbappe, his first season hasn't gone as planned in terms of collective achievements, as Real Madrid are on track to finish the season without a trophy, bar the UEFA Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup they won in December.
Meanwhile, Mbappe's former club, PSG, on their way to winning a historic treble of the French Cup, Ligue 1 and Champions League.
On Wednesday, PSG smashed Arsenal 3-1 on aggregate to book their place in the Champions League final.
Recall that Arsenal beat Real Madrid 5-1 on aggregate to reach the semi-final. But they couldn't do that against Luis Enrique's PSG.
PSG fans online are now calling out Mbappe after reaching the final, for the second time since 2020.
Here are some reactions.
💭"We're si much better without Mbappe holding us back," one fan said.
💭"Letting go of Mbappe was the best thing to happen to this team."
💭"Mbappe never tracked back and was a weak link defensively."
💭"Same Champions League Mbappe left us to win is what we are winning easily."
💭"We winning the Champions League the year Mbappe leaves. You couldn't have written a better story."
PSG fans seem to forget that Mbappe helped them reach the final five years ago, where they unfortunately lost to Bayern 1-0.
They must remember that the final against Inter is not yet won.
