'Would be absolute cinema': Chelsea fans weigh in on which rival’s heartbreak would be sweeter in Europa League final

With Manchester United set to face Tottenham in the Europa League final, the mood among Chelsea supporters isn’t exactly one of support — it’s pure rivalry.

Blues fans have taken to social media to debate the ultimate question: would they rather see United lift a European trophy… or watch Spurs end their long wait for silverware?

Spoiler: no one’s winning in their eyes. But watching the other suffer? That’s the real prize.

Here's what the fans said.

Jimmy_Space1: "Whoever wins the Europa league final, I just hope it's an absolute blowout. If we have to deal with one of these two winning then at least the other better be receiving generational psychological damage."

BladeOfBardotta: "Personally I hope Spurs win and then Ange absolutely explodes at the Spurs fans in the most arrogant way imaginable that totally sours them on the whole thing."

ChelseaRoar: "I hate Spurs as much as the next guy but it's just a Europa League. Ends their trophy drought and that sucks but doesn't really change anything about the club. They'll still sack Ange and have a bunch of useless players."

"Man United though. They've been total shit for years, and they just keep scraping these trophies that offset their failure. It's infuriating. It also gives Amorim a chance to draw in players to build his team. Spurs are fucked no matter who they sign."

Karamazov1880: "I hate Tottenham but seeing Spurs win a trophy before Arsenal and United bottling the Europa would be absolute CINEMA. Plus Ange’s sheer aura if his second season prophecy comes true and he leaves after."

I prefer Tottenham to win it because i don’t want Man U to play in Champions league because there fans have become annoying this days and I don’t want them to equal us by winning the same amount of Europa league trophy

let spurs win it. besides united dropped us to conference league even when we fought and qualified from the league.. secondly we have ones denied spurs a championships league qualification in such situations some times ago let's use this as a pay back to united and and extension of our congregations to spurs at least time one time .

A no brainier for me, there must be a Man U angel, always seems to scrape them through, but to see them qualify for the CL after finishing 14/15th in the league would really piss me off. Spurs in the CL is the lesser of the 2 evils, as they are likely to get knocked out at the group stage. Does this mean 6 English teams in the CL. Spurs still hate we stopped them from entering the CL in 4th place when we won The Europa League, if it’s only 5 teams including the Europa league winners, that makes that fight for top 4 even more dramatic and difficult.

I want Spurs to win, they ain't shit but Manchester ain't shit last season and they managed to offset the balance by winning the FA cup at the expense of Manchester City, and if they win, they will find themselves in the champions league having done so badly in the league this season, they ain't worth that kinda lifeline.
