Top-tier source in Italy: Chelsea to battle Juventus for Atleti's Savic
• Chelsea are rumoured to be interested in Atletico's centre-back Stefan Savic
• The 27-year-old is believed to be keen on the Premier League move
• The Blues could face a tough competition from Juventus for the Montenegro international
As the summer transfer window is now open for international deals, the number of rumours linking players with changing clubs and leagues increases. Thus, according to Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sport Italia, which is normally an extremely respectable source, Chelsea are eager to land Atletico's centre-back Stefan Savic.
Despite the ongoing managerial uncertainty, the Blues are believed to be interested in the back-line reinforcements and the 27-year-old is now considered a key target for the London-based club.
Should Chelsea go for the defender, they could face a strong competition from the Italian champions Juventus, who are also keen on strengthening their defence, especially after Stephan Lichtsteiner's departure to Arsenal.

However, Savic himself is supposed to prioritize the Premier League move and if it's true, the centre-back will be no stranger to the competition, taking into account his one-season spell at Man City in 2011-12.
The defender has spent three years at Atletico and become essential for Diego Simeone's signature defence. Last season, Savic managed to feature in 31 games in all competitions for the club and provide a perfect display in terms of blocking the ball, tackles and aerial duels.
