Italian sources: next two days 'crucial' for Modric's future
- Inter bosses are currently in Madrid for Atletico friendly, they are also planning to have talks with Real Madrid about Modric's transfer
- The Croat midfielder still wants to join Inter
The Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato claim that next 48 hours will be decisive for any potential deal on Luka Modric between Real Madrid and Inter.
Inter bosses, including their sporting director, Piero Ausilio, are now in Madrid for a friendly against Atletico. They are also planning to stay in the city after that to hold talks on Modric with Real Madrid.
According to the article, Modric is still determined to join Inter and has not agreed any extension terms with Los Blancos.
This report is somewhat questionable, as Inter sporting director Ausilio has confirmed to Sky Italia that he is Madrid only for the game, while Luka Modric has allegedly decided to stay at Real Madrid, as per Diario AS and Marca. Real Madrid will offer him an extension and a pay rise that will see him equalling the club's second highest earner - Sergio Ramos with 10 million euros salary.
