Iniesta scores his first goal in Japan
- The Blaugrana legend pairs up with Germany star Lukas Podolski at Vissel Kobe
- The midfielder enjoys mixed debut in Japan after his debut on 22 July
Andres Iniesta has finally scored his debut goal for the Japanese league side Vissel Kobe. The powerful strike came in the 15th minute of the game against Iwata which Kobe eventually won 2-1. With this victory Kobe return to the fourth place of their league with 32 points out of 53 possible.
Iniesta's goal demonstrated that the class and talent has never left him despite the age. He picked the ball up in the centre-circle, ran into the box, dribbled past the defenders and slotted home. By the way, it was Lukas Podolski, 2014 World Champion with Germany, who assisted Iniesta.
Former Blaugrana captain made his Vissel Kobe debut on July 22; however, his side lost 3-0 to Shonan Bellmare. Afterwards, he took part in a 1-0 win over Kashiwa and a 1-1 draw with C-Osaka. He missed a game against Tokyo FC and was eventually replaced by a hilarious lookalike.
