English media: Real Madrid ready to offer £150m for Hazard
- Chelsea value their star man at £200m
- The Belgian is stalling on signing a new £300,000 a week deal
- The Blues boss Sarri remains hopeful Hazard renews
According to Sunday Express, Real Madrid haven't given up on their Eden Hazard pursuit and are ready to offer £150m for the Belgian who is prised by Chelsea at £200m. The star midfielder has reportedly rejected an astronomical £300,000 a week deal which has recently been offered by the club.
Unlike fellow Belgian Thibaut Courtois, Hazard isn't pushing for a move even though the new Madrid goalkeeper has publicly backed his fellow countryman to join him. He said at his Real Madrid presentation: “If he can come, it would be fantastic. He is very happy that I am here, he is a great player and I would like to be always at his side, let's see what happens in the future.”
Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri, however, is hopeful his main man will sign a new deal. He said at his press conference after the league opener against Huddersfield as quoted by Sky: ''Hazard is with us. He's not a problem. He never said something about the market. I think he is very happy to stay here. I think the new contract will be no problem.''
Will we eventually sign Hazard?
