The Blues' loanee impressed playing in the middle of the back three.
"It was totally new playing in a back three for Ethan and I thought he was excellent," Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder said of Ethan Ampadu's performance in a 1-0 defeat to Leeds United, quoted by TEAMtalk.
"There has not been much chance to integrate the players so they have to get on with it which they did.
"The shape, organisation and work rate was good. You can’t create the chance we have done today and be sitting on the crossbar but yet again opportunities to score and be clinical, which Leeds were and we weren’t, decide the game."
Ampadu is becoming a key player for Sheffield. The 20-year-old has featured in three of the Blades' four games this season so far, starting two. Unfortunately, Wilder's crew have lost each of their four matches.
