Chelsea Champions League hero Fernando Torres leaves Atletico again
The Spaniard is much determined to continue to play despite his age
The Spaniard, who represented Chelsea from 2011 up to 2015 is having his final season with Atletico, his boyhood club that he rejoined in 2015 in his second spell.
Torres, 34, said of the decision: "This will be my last season at the club. As you can see I am playing very little. I felt obliged to inform the supporters. It's not been an easy decision. This is not a day for reproaches.
"It's very difficult to say goodbye for the second time. My aim was to hang up my boots here. I want to keep playing for two, three or five years."
With the Blues, Torres won the Champions League 2012 as well as the FA Cup the same season and Europa League a season later.
