Opinion: Jorginho arrival could force Cesc exit
www.chelseadaft.org editor delivers his opinion on the upcoming arrival of the 26-year-old midfielder and how it will influence Cesc's future at the club
"Cesc Fabregas' ability with the ball at his feet is literally second to none and we have seen him work wonders with his magic hat up and down the country. However, the game has changed so much now that everyone is expected to pull their weight without the ball and this is where things go against him. Don't get me wrong, I love the bloke for coming here and giving what he has for the shirt, but we need to be realistic.
"This is where the potential signing of Jorginho comes in. It's clear to see that he is more than capable with the ball at his feet but most importantly, without it. He could become quite the foil for N'Golo Kante in the heart of our midfield if he were to sign.
"At 26 years of age, Jorginho is at the perfect time in his career to come and ply his trade in the Premier League. He has obvious talent and ability which would be well suited in my view and although the transfer fee is a substantial amount, it would be a shrewd investment.
Jorginho and Kante could potentially become the best midfield duo in Europe’s top 5 leagues. Time for Fabregas to move on. He isn’t going to get a game! #cfc— Burhan Ali (@burhan_7ali) July 13, 2018
"He's classed as a defensive midfielder. His range of passing is excellent coupled with good anticipation. He reads the game well from the deeper midfield position and is quick to break up opposition play to then move the ball forward to put his team back on the front foot.

You’re getting a manager who plays the most attractive & entertaining style of football there is #Sarri
You are also signing a player who attempted 3197 passes last season, completing 2860. The most passes played in the top 5 European Leagues #Jorginho pic.twitter.com/Rzkyg38pFG
"It will be interesting to see if Cesc Fabregas remains at Chelsea and is part and parcel of the new management's plans moving forward. Surely playing Jorginho and Kante together with Fabregas further forward is an option, even Ross Barkley as an alternative - we will just have to wait and see."
