Chelsea-linked Robert Lewandowski claims transfer rumours were not the reason behind dull World Cup performance
- The Polish forward didn't manage to score a single goal in Russia
- The 29-year-old was linked with a move to Chelsea
- Lewandowski states he knows how to cope with media buzz
"I didn't think about it because I've been playing football for many years," the striker told Przeglad Sportowy. "This sort of situation has happened with all my transfers - whether it's from Znicz to Lech [Poznan] or from Lech [Pruszkow] to Borussia Dortmund or from BVB to Bayern.
"I've learned how to handle these situations," he concluded.
Lewandowski played 270 minutes in three matches at the World Cup for Poland and didn't score any goals. His team were eliminated after the group stage only managing one win over Japan in the third game.
