Stoke boss speaks out on Butland-to-Chelsea links
- Gary Rowett believes his 25-year-old goalkeeper is going nowhere despite the club's relegation
- Butland has emerged among the Blues' candidates to replace Courtois should he leave
Rowett said: "I don't believe any rumours if I'm honest. I understand the good players are going to be linked with good clubs which is great, I get that.
"That shows the level of player we've got at this club. It shows the level Jack Butland is at as a young keeper and that those clubs might potentially look at him."
It was previously reported by the Sky Sports that Chelsea had a long list of goalkeepers to replace Real Madrid-linked Thibaut Courtois and Everton's Jordan Pickford was followed by Leicester City's Kasper Schmeichel and Stoke City's Jack Butland on that list.
